"mmry.crd" is my personal brand that I work under for creative projects. As mmry.crd, I've built a small, but passionate community of physical media enthusiasts through projects like my custom cassette tape releases, custom PS1 inspired game cases, collaborations with other creators, and other pieces of physical merchandise.

Custom PS1 jewel cases for modern PlayStation 4 and 5 games.

Recreating video game cases in the style of 90's PlayStation jewel CD cases started as a personal project to practice my design skills, while scratching the nostalgic part of my brain that had fond memories of the PS1 era I grew up with. I knew I wanted to pursue graphic design in a serious way, but with no formal education I wanted a project to keep pushing myself with, that I could use to build a portfolio.

Retro Video Game Soundtrack Cassette Tapes.

Similar to my custom game cases, I started making cassette tapes as a way of adding tapes into my personal collection that never existed. This project spawned off of an independent cassette label I ran, Utopial Records, where I originally released my own music, alongside my friend's music, but eventually found myself enjoying the process of making video game soundtracks more and more.

Custom designed PS4 and PS5 game cases.

While PS1 style game cases has always been my focus, a handful of projects have come to mind over the years designing for the modern PS4 and PS5 case format; my favorite being my remake of the classic Silent Hill 2 NTSC box art using assets from the 2024 Bloober Team remake.

Social Feed.

With mmry.crd my goal was originally to create a print magazine to highlight my own projects, and the projects of other creators that I've become friends with or admire. Self-publishing a physical magazine was a bigger goal than I expected though, so the focus shifted to publishing similar content on Instagram. Using the image carousel scrolling feature, I try to replicate the tactile feeling of flipping magazine pages by intentionally putting images and text on the middle point between images, making the user hold the scroll to read and take in the post.

Video Advertisements.

Videos created to advertise projects; first being an advertisement for a cassette release that is created to replicate classic television commercials for compilation CDs like "Now Thats What I Call Music", second being for a t-shirt release of two "Parasite Eve" (PS1) inspired shirts.

Unused mmry.crd Magazine Pages.

This is a collection of some finished magazine pages - most of which have been reworked into Instagram content. Content included interviews with Casper Croes, developer of Alisa, and classic magazine inspired ads for projects of my own, like cassette tapes, and other independent merchandise by other creators.
